About the event:
Targeting the immune system to target cancer has led to new therapeutics with incredible impact on patients’ lives, and there is more to come. The talk will provide an overview of the state of the field in Immuno-Oncology, the many approaches being taken, some potential potholes, and opportunities for the future.

About Diane Hollenbaugh
Diane Hollenbaugh has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in discovery, research and early development. She received her BS in Chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle, and her PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. She performed post-doctoral research in the field of immune receptors, including studies of the CD40/CD154 receptor-ligand pair and the selectin family of adhesion receptors at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute in Seattle. She remained with BMS for 10 years, working on both small molecule and biologics programs in Immunology first in Seattle and then in Lawrenceville, NJ. In total, Diane has more than 25 years of experience at multiple large and small companies, including Medarex, FivePrime Therapeutics and Schering-Plough/Merck. She is an inventor on more than 15 issued patents and has authored more than 50 publications. Diane joined AbbVie at the Redwood City location in 2013, where she leads the Discovery team with a focus on Immuno-Oncology.
